Dear David and Audrey Thank you so much for these helpful ideas.I think the non conformist idea is right - as you say all Louisa and John's children were baptised in the Magdalen St Primitive methodist church in Cambidge and her second marriage was in the Zion chapel in Cambridge. Theis 2nd marriage in 1844 gave me her father's name and profession. It would be good to find evidence of James being Louisa's brother. I had found him on the 1841 but as you say no baptisms in Family Search IGI records to put them together. i have been thinking that the Lucy Carter baptised 31 Oct 1806 in Potton is probably Louisa, but again difficult to be sure. This would suggest her mother's name could be Elizabeth. Thanks again, Gail :-) >From: David <david11000carca@yahoo.fr> >Reply-To: BEDFORD-L@rootsweb.com >To: BEDFORD-L@rootsweb.com >Subject: Re: [BDF] Louisa Pleasance CARTER b Potton 1808 >Date: Thu, 18 May 2006 22:05:11 +0200 (CEST) > >I wondered if James, the father of Louisa chr 1812 might have been your >Louisa's elder brother.
