Hello Listers, I have been trawling through the Lidlington Parish Film when I cam across this entry. Bapt. 1 June 1834 Francis ODELL - "an old man aged 76yrs." If there is someone searching the ODELL name please can you confirm that I have the correct wife/wives for this man 1. Francis ODELL m. 2 Nov. 1780 Mary GOBBY both made there mark and the witnesses Richard GOBBY & Thomas COOK the Clerk. Did this Mary ODELL nee GOBBY then have a daughter Ann ODELL bap. 23 Dec. 1781 Lidlington ? and did Mary ODELL then die? 2. Francis ODELL m. 9 April 1787 Lidlington Martha WEBSTER Is this a 2nd marriage for the Francis ODELL? Why was Francis ODELL getting bapt. at 76yrs. - wonder if he was ill and did not want to die before being baptised? Is there a burial for him in Lidlington please around 1834? I HAVE FOUND SOME ODELL'S WHO HAVE MARRIED DEVEREUX'S CONNECTED TO THE WOODLANDS.
