Pauline, I think you may have come to the incorrect list. Bedford, Bedfordshire does not have a Chapel Street, Trafalgar Street or a St Thomas Church. There is, however, a place called Bedford in Lancashire which DOES have a Chapel Street and a St Thomas Church. http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/eng/LAN/Bedford/ This would be consistent also with the deaths being at Atherton. Regards Steven Gibbs Bedford
Oh boy, am I red faced! But I did check with Google, and the only other Bedford I saw was in Mass. U.S. The one in Lancs is obviously the right one. Now all I have to do is find out why she died at Atherton, but was interred at Glynn Taff cemetary, S.W Thankyou for helping out though, Pauline >From: "Steven Gibbs" <steven@sgibbs1.freeserve.co.uk> >Reply-To: BEDFORD-L@rootsweb.com >To: BEDFORD-L@rootsweb.com >Subject: Re: [BDF] Missing lady >Date: Fri, 13 Jan 2006 11:59:49 -0000 > >>Hi everyone, I'm new to the list and desperately searching for a missing >>Margaretta MORGAN(S) >>b.abt. 1879; I assumed it to be Bedford, because she was living at 17 >>Chapel St. Bedford at the time of her marriage to William SCHOFIELD.
