Hello Listers, Does anyone know the history or anything about "Chequers Inn" at Bozeat. I believe it was still in existence in 1978, maybe as a private dwelling. In the 1841 Census ,SAMUEL SMITH, my 2xgrandfather was a Publican and family tales say he kept the Chequers Inn. He arrived in Australia in 1849. Cheers, Prue Gore Tasmania,Australia
