    3. My great grandfather was the local Blacksmith in Little Staughton during 1871/82. He then for some reason took all his family to Hull to live in very poor housing. He continued to be a Blacksmith but I do not know where. He was born in Little Staughton circa 1843. He is shown on the 1851 living with his parents Jacob and Mary Jackens. The address was Bottom End Little Staughton. I can find Top End and Green End of the maps of Little Staughton but no Bottom End. Any ideas? Also does anyone know of any photographs of the Blacksmiths shop/smithy and does this shop still exist today? Does anyone know why a blacksmith would suddenly take his whole family to live in a completely different part of the country when all the Jeakins/Jackins etc all stayed in Bedfordshire. Any information would be appreciated. Regards Linda Cooke
