There was a George HEAD [birth: 29th Dec 1834]. Christened 13th 1835 in Potton to John & Sarah HEAD. So if that is your one, he was born too early for a birth certificate.     3. Dear Cathy, Thank you for the followup on George and Susan. It does look like a promising lead. I will also get the marriage certificate to check the ages on that. If that jells then we might be on a winner. I do understand about George not knowing where he was born. We can only go by what we have, and check as many ways as possible. Thank you also for the link to the IGI by village/town. I had not seen that before. My other branches have yielded very little from the IGI so I don't always check it out as soon as I might... it has been valuable here.
