Hi Folks, I don't believe in luck, or a curse attached to a name. It is just coincidence - a high mortality rate due to insanitary conditions and diseases for which we now have innoculation.It was a miracle that any child survived.They obviously had certain family names that they were determined to perpetuate and they would have given them irrespective of whether the child was healthy or not. I also notice that twins rarely survived. I have a case in my family tree where the babies were called by names which did not follow the family naming pattern because they were obviously not expected to survive.It was the couple's second set of twins.
