Hi Jan, I had a quick look at the Parish Record fiche I have of Ampthill, and there are numerous Uptons! But no Richard about 1794, there was one earlier about 1790. The records I have run from 1602 - 1812 and as I said there are alot of references to Upton (Apton as another spelling). If you would like me to send you a list of all I can find I'm willing to do so but I think I would need to send it to you snail mail ! as it would be rather a large file to send via e-mail.
