Hi Listers I have a 1938 birth certificate that shows the birth place, and mother's residence, as "Donkey Hall" in Luton. Can someone direct me to a map or location plan or some history about this place? Was it near "Mount Pleasant" or 'Keelings Cottages'? No pressure but a marriage hangs on the outcome. It was in the High Town area of Luton, an area adjacent to and just to the north of the railway station. A search on google states that it was a cottage in the High Town area, so called because it was the first cottage erected in that district and the materials used were taken from the Baptist Meeting House which was being rebuilt, and were transported from that site by donkey.
