Hello Listers Please can anyone help in finding apprenticeships. One of my ancestors Joseph Mead is listed in the Posse Commutatis 1798 as an Apprentice Blacksmith in Sherrington Bucks. He was I believe apprenticed to John Simcoe, and as I am having difficulty in confirming his parents and place and date of birth, his apprenticeship record would be helpful. I have made enquiry at the Buckinghamshire record office, but they have no records. In addition, in 1806 he moved as Blacksmith to Milton Ernest, Beds, where he remained until his death and burial in 1835. I have been wondering there are any records of boys apprenticed to him ?
