Hi Wendy Couldnt find William Mann or James Skipper in the Bedford Gaol index. http://apps.bedfordshire.gov.uk/grd/search.aspx There was a William Mann (from Silsoe) convicted in 1835 aged 19, sentenced to 6 weeks in prison Others with Bedfordshire convict ancestors might like to explore the above link! There is a physical description and some of the later ones have pictures.
