    3. Peter You're right that Colmworth on the IGI is a bit of a mess, particularly with the female only batch after 1812. But the males are on the BVRI, so they're not lost. Before 1800 the Hites in Colmworth are mainly listed as HYTT, which isn't picked up by soundex in a search for HITE. The Colmworth Hytts seem to have come from nearby Thurleigh and Keysoe where they're listed on the IGI as HIGHT/HEIGHT I'm pretty certain that James and Samuel were father and son - see my previous post with the A2A reference Regards David --- En date de : Dim 13.7.08, Peter Booth <[email protected]> a écrit : > De: Peter Booth <[email protected]> > Objet: Re: [BDF] Samuel Hite > À: [email protected] > Date: Dimanche 13 Juillet 2008, 5h31 > George, > > Bedford Gaol database has a James Hite 27 of Colmworth > convicted in 1805 > for sheep stealing with death sentence commuted to life > (presumably > transportation).
