Good morning; There is a James Dorrington age 18 listed on the ship Catherine that left England in 1851 to go to South Australia. On same voyage are a few others from Bedford that were all in the Bedford Union workhouse up to the point of departure. Seems they are all emigrating on assisted passages arranged by the wotkhouse. In the workhouse Indoor Relief ledger for that period it has a Jonas Darrringtion paid for out of the common fund. I think he is son of John & Sarah Darrington of Roxton.
