    3. Dear Listers, I don't have any transcriptions material for you this week. I was instead busy getting a pacemaker/defibrillator installed, and am now home recovering. So instead, here's my list of Bundys that I know of so far in the area where they originated (well, within the era of documents anyway). I'm sure some of these are the same people, but of course the challenge is to find ways to connect people mentioned in various life events. When I was younger, I would have said my family had no history of heart problems, but along the way of gaining knowledge of my families' history, I've certainly discovered a very high incidence in my mother's Glasgow Ramsay and Brown families. I don't see anything like this in the Bundys. BTW, I'm very grateful to my medical caregivers, both for curing the cancer I had 14 years ago, and now with some great technology to assist my heart's function. This is indeed a great time to be alive! There are buses to Shefford about every hour from Bedford, I believe, and there is a very limited bus service (about 1 in the morning and 1 in the afternoon) that travels through Shefford, Clifton, Stanford and Southill. on the way to Biggleswade. I would definitely recommend hiring a car, these are lovely villages to wander through but you wouldn't be able to hop on and off buses.     3. I too have Romany ancestors and unusual Christian names include Vanzloe/Vanslow; Kadalia; Faurnity (various spellings of); Mazally; Calentia and Counselleta. However - the one which does not belong to a Romany is Groom Garner. He married Sarah BASS in Cranfield on 18 Nov 1785. I have no idea where he was before that. I thought perhaps there was a mistake and his occupation was written down as his name however, he is also Groom on the baptisms of his children.     3. I have a family of ARNOLDs in Beds and Bucks who frequently used the first name of Hattil (and variations). It also seems to be an old biblical name. The furthest back I have gone is to Hattil (sometimes Attel) Arnold, born 1733 in Newton Longville.
