HO107/005-07 folio 20A Back St, Dunstable Elizabeth Binyon 45 Not born in county Eliza Binyon 20 Born in county There are no Binyon burials in Dunstable up to 1851. It's odd as Dunstable parish register has been extracted onto the IGI and there's no sign of Eliza. Could she have been illegitimate? Who did Eliza name as her father when she married in 1875? Regards David Mary Lou Jones <gsjonesfamily@shaw.ca> a écrit : I am looking for the parents of Eliza Binyon, born c1821 in Dunstable. In 1851, she is living with her widowed mother, Elizabeth in Ashton St, Dunstable. Her mother was born c1793 in Wing, Bucks. I am hoping that someone can kindly help me find them in 1841 and hopefully the father will be with them. She went on to marry into my King clan in 1875. Thanks for any help! Thanks to Gay's help, I have found the marriage of Richard Binyon and Elizabeth Dimmock, 1818 in Leighton Buzzard, which ties in very nicely. Thanks to a great list! Mary Lou
Wow, Gay, I think you have found her! Thank you so much. Another twig on my tree! Best wishes Mary Lou
Thank you so much, David, for your effort! Yes, she certainly could have been illegitimate. I thought she may have been baptized in Bucks, but I can't find her there either. I haven't ordered her marriage cert. She married a cousin (a few times removed). I just like to fill in parents, if I can. Thanks again and very best wishes Mary Lou

Hi List I'll be away for a couple of days but I'll check any requests when I get back. Kate :)
I have George HEAD (born Potton) and Susan (born Sutton) living in Aldershot, Hants in the 1881 Census and Pancras, London in the 1891 and the 1901Census. George's age is given as 48 (1881), 56 (1891) and 68 (1901), Susan's age is given as 29 (1881), 39 (1891) and 50 (1901) A George HEAD married a Susan GILBERT in Farnham (Hants) in 1869. This may be my George and Susan. Perhaps not. A family story has George being in the military and stationed at Aldershot at some stage. There is a George HEAD (born Potton) aged 33 in the 1871 census (married) at a military base. This may be the same George... the age is very fluid throughout. Their children are given as: Ezekiel HEAD born about 1869 in Aldershot Hants George H HEAD born about 1874 in St Ives, Huntingdon Jacob HEAD born about 1876 Fenstanton Hants Ada HEAD born about 1880 Aldershot Hants Ruth HEAD born about 1884 Aldershot Hants Susan HEAD born about 1887 St Pancras, London (in 1901 Census born Islington, London) William HEAD born about 1890 Greenwich, Kent (in 1901 Census born Greenwich E, London) Obadiah HEAD born about 1892 (in 1901 Census born Islington, London) Can anyone connect with George and Susan? Thanks Charlie Clarke Maryknoll, Australia

Hi Lyle Eaton Socon seems to have been the other place where there was a concentration of Tophams, but I haven't found a connection with the Arlesey family (unless the John, who was the original Topham in Arlesey - that I mentioned to Andy - came from Eaton Socon, but I have no evidence to support this) Regards David lyle topham <lctopham_2000@yahoo.com> a écrit : Hi David, They were primarily in Eaton Socon and St Neots but assume there are ties to others throughout Bedfordshire. Andy You can view microfilms of the parish registers at your nearest LDS family history centre of which there are a dozen in Scotland http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/default.asp Or you could try a post on www.rootschat.com where there are people with parish register transcripts who might be able to help.
