He married an Edna (b.1824) and then moved to Montville, CT. and then to New London, CT. They had 12 children who were as follows: Ellen (b.1840), James Jr. (b. 1843), Edna (b. 1845), Laura (b. 1851), Elias (b. 1848), Harriet (b. 1854), Jeremiah (b. 1854), Eleanor "Lena" (b. 1857), Isham (b. 1858), Allen G. (b. 1861), Mary (b. 1864), and Martha (b. 1866). James was a farmer. I don't know what more info I can provide to help find his parents and her parents too but, I will try if you think of anything. Lena (b.1857) was my Great Grandmother who married an Albert Johnson (b.1850) of Montville, CT. She remarried a William Sherman of Colchester and died in 1943. She was buried with her two sons, Fred and George Johnson, who died young. They are buried in the Linwood Cemetery in Colchester, Connecticut. Her other children were Bertha, Charles Ira (1875)! , my Grandfather, and Albert Henry of Montville. Please help. I am trying to get this done before the only surviving member of my Father's side of the family dies. I want to give this to her before she dies. I will pay $200.00 to the first person who can provide the names of the parents of James Beckwith (b. 1814-1815) and his wife Edna along with verifiable proof.
