I now have it on my favorites. Matthew Beckwith came to America (I believe) around 1635. The reason why he came to America was to make money. He ventured with 2 other men in building a Barque that sailed to Barbadoes for sugar, to make rum. It meant that slaves were in the equation, but he did not own a slave. The Beckwith women were devout Christians, but the Beckwith men were Merchants, Defenders of the Colony serving in the Connecticut Militia and by the 3rd century formed the 1st Civil Government, the seeds of Liberty!
