Thats when this geneology says Hugh d'malebisse our ancestor and from this document, donor of our original last name was in the roles of William the conqurer. Also have found our name in the doomsday book. I am from the new england planter side of the family probably decended from John who came to Nova Scotia in 1761. I'd be happy to help if I can. I'm desperately seeking Noble Beckwith who died in Bridgetown Nova Scotia in 1880 aged 65. He's my great great, but I have no idea where he came from or how he links to the rest of the family.
