I think I am decended from John, Samuel's brother. But they were New England planters. They arrived in NS in 1760. So I'm 6 generations away from them. I have a very annoyining problem though. My Great great grand father was Noble Beckwith but he seemed to appear in Bridgetown NS from out of nowhere in about 1830-1840 and claim the old Beckwith land grant. What is really mystifying is why it was available. And I can find absolutely nothing about this guy. Do you have any advice? By the way, do you know anything about the family during the revolution?
