The 1850 Census has an older Edgecomb spelled Edgcomb who would have been born in 1780. There is a very strong possibility that Issac was his dad and that Grace Edgecomb was the mom. The family story says that one of our Beckwith males above the Edgecomb line was in the Revolutionary war at a Fort in Central Upstate NY and fell in love with and married an Indian woman. Several people in the family tell a silmilar story. Could be just that though....a story! Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
