My 3rd great grandfather was Isaac Sweney and his birth date was 10/24/1795 and death was 3/11/1854. He and his wife Emily Farling Beckwith are buried in the Hebron Cemetery in Hebron, IN. After. Emily died on 11/14/1836 in Crawford Co., OH, Isaac remarried to Elizabeth Jane McCurdy on 4/2/1839 in Crawford Co., OH. The 1850 Census has an older Edgecomb spelled Edgcomb who would have been born in 1780. There is a very strong possibility that Issac was his dad and that Grace Edgecomb was the mom. The family story says that one of our Beckwith males above the Edgecomb line was in the Revolutionary war at a Fort in Central Upstate NY and fell in love with and married an Indian woman.
