Hi Ida, I have an ancestor, Nancy Beavers, born around 1798 in "Hardin, Indiana". There is no Hardin in Indiana, but there is a Hardin County in Illinois and in KY. I'm wondering if she might be related to your Beavers in Hardin Illinois? Nancy married a McCarty and settled in Owen County, Indiana. I believe that she may have been Native American, because of things my grandmother told me about Nancy's grandson, but none of my sources have any information about Nancy Beavers' past. Do you think she might be connected, esp. since your Beavers family had a Nancy too. Let me know. Thanks, Cyn
