I'm new to this list. I've been trying to find my Beavers ancestors for several years, and have had no luck. My great grandfather was William Thomas Beavers, born in Loudoun County, Virginia, on 30 JAN 1880 and died on 27 JUL 1965 in Arlington, VA. He married Goldie Beaver (b.about 1880-1883 in Loudoun County, VA, died 1933). They had 3 children, Theresa (Cratsley) and Olla Virginia who married Walter Allen Harrison (my grandparents). What information I do have I cannot verify. William's father was John Thomas Beavers (b. 17 May 1849, d. 14 Dec 1890). He married Sarah Ellen McCulloch (b. c. 1852) on 1 Jun 1877. John's father was Sam Beavers, he married Genive Molar. This is all I have. My understanding from my mother (Olla & Walter Harrison's daughter) is that the family farmed in Loudoun County, Virginia for many years. She told me that that particular section of the county was counted on different census records at various time. Sometimes being counted as part of Prince William County, sometimes as part of Fauquier County, and even part of Culpeper County! I would hazard a guess it could be counted as part of Fairfax County, too. But to date, I cannot find them anywhere. Any help would be appreciated.
