Robert B. Beavers CLINTWOOD-Elder Robert Booker Beavers, 32, passed away Friday, Dec. 28, 2001, at Dickenson County Medical center. He was a lifelong resident of Dickenson County and a member of Slate Creek Primitive Baptist Church, where he also served as an elder. He was a member of the Richlands National Guard and a 1988 graduate of Clintwood High School. He was employed at Red Onion State Prison. Mr. Beavers was preceded in death by two sons, Robert Derek Beavers and Nathaniel Evans Beavers; one sister, Shirley Beavers; his maternal grandparents, Robert I. and Beatrice Cantrell; and paternal grandparents, George L. and Annie Beavers. He is survived by his wife, Tammy Beavers, of Clintwood; his parents, Booker and Ruby Beavers of Clinchco; one daughter, Emily Grace Beavers and one son, Matthew Booker Beavers both of the home; two sisters, Elsa Farmer and her husband, Ron, of Clintwood and Ann Marker and her husband, Terry, of Route 1, Clintwood; and nieces and nephews, Stephanie Renee Salyers, Catherine, Elizabeth and Marcus O'Quinn, Jeffrey Dean Coleman, Hoppy Junior Coleman and Brandy Coleman. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, Dec. 31, at 11 a.m. in Mullins Funeral Home Chapel with clergymen Joe Edwards, Darrell Davis,! Ked Stacy and Danny Smith officiating. Burial will be in Tivis Deel Family Cemetery, right hand fork of Greenbriar. Military graveside services will be conducted at DAV Chapter 35, VFW Post 8979 and American Legion Post 227. Graveside services will be conducted by the Red Onion State Prison Honor Guard. Pallbearers will be Junior Coleman, Brandy Coleman, Jeffrey Dean Coleman, Mickey Caudill, Vie Mullins and Jeffrey O'Quinn. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Slate Creek Primitive Baptist Church, employees of the Red Onion State Prison and H. Jack Rose. The family will receive friends Sunday, Dec. 30, at 6 p.m. in Mullins Funeral Home Chapel, where a service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Mullins Funeral Home is serving the Beavers family.
