My BEAVERS pain-in-the-neck is William. He was born 1800 in Tennessee, was in Lawrence County, AL by 1820, living alone. He was next door to Michael BEAVERS (son of the William BEAVERS who died in 1816 in Lincoln County, TN). William married first in 1821, Millie STEVENS, daughter of George who consented. They had two sons, James and Albert. Millie died young and the boys were apparently raised by relatives in Lincoln County, TN. In 1827, William married Agnes PATRICK (my ancestor), and for some unknown reason, they moved to Blount County, AL for a few years. They were back in Lawrence in 1840. Their children were: Berthana (mine), Rigdon, Willie J.(female), Mary M., Verlinda, William Charles, Michael (also mine) and John L. I know, beyond a doubt that he was related to the Lincoln County BEAVERS families, I just have no idea how. Any educated guesses appreciated.
