Trying to establish the maiden name of my great great grandfather spouse, Judith. John C. BEAVERS born about 1812 Tennessee. Married Judith about 1833. In various records Judith is shown as born in Alabama and Georgia. They had eleven known children: Unknown born 1834, Leroy born 1836, Martha born 1838, Maliena born 1839, Louisa J. born 1842, Jerrome born 1844, Francis Marion (m) born 1846, Almire born 1848, Joysey Ann born 1852, Mary Janetta born 1855 and Evaline (Nancy Jane) born 1859. All but the last two children were born in Tennessee. Mary Janetta and Evaline were probably born in Texas. The family migrated to Texas and resided in Cass, Hunt, Kaufman, Hunt, Fannin, Robertson and Hill Counties. Also migrating to Texas was John's brother George Rice Beavers. Hi List, I am looking for the wife of Edmond Allen of Loudoun Co. VA. In some documents she is listed as Margaret Beavers and others she is listed as Margaret Beavers Jenkins. At first, I thought the Jenkins was a first marriage but in the marriage book, she is listed as having a guardian, John Butler. Could she still have a guardian if the first husband died while she was still a minor? All that I have on her is that she married Edmond (Edmund) 8 Mar 1832 in Loudoun Co, Va. I have no birth dates for her or Edmond. Can anyone help with this? My guess is that she must have been born abt 1812-1816. Does anyone have any other ideas? Thanks for your help, Janice Hoover

I do not have a citation to help you, but check LDS for Beavers Log. I made some photocopies from it about 20 years ago in Salt Lake City. It may not be microfilmed, I just don't recall. However, if it isn't you could probably hire someone in SLC to examine it for you. James Beavers and the Clack family is the same line I'm looking for. I'm a descendant of Mary Beaver's brother James b. 3 Mar 1753 who married Rebecca Clack. I am trying to find a Beaver/Beavers. This is all I have: Descendants of Jim Beavers Generation No. 1 1. JIM1 BEAVERS Child of JIM BEAVERS is: i. MINNIE MAY2 BEAVER, b. November 1863, Texas; d. 1918; m. JESSE KINMAN, March 29, 1885, Erath, Texas; b. October 11, 1860, Texas; d. October 15, 1937. Notes for MINNIE MAY BEAVER: In a letter dated 1977, it states that Minnie died on a reservation near Durant, Yarnaby Community, Oklahoma, buried in Yuba Cemetery. Father's name was Jim Beavers. It is believed the family was Cherokee, but Mr. Kinman (Jack, her son) said his mother was Regular Delaware. Minnie, returned to the reservation when she discovered she was going to die. She had a regular funeral and then an old Indian Chief performed ceremonial dances. The cemetery in Yuba is now on private property. No one is allowed on the property. Her grave was placed under a hugh Hackberry tree. The cemetery may not exist any more, because when someone went looking for it, they found the property the cemetery was suppose to be located on, was covered with heavy machinery. The man who owned the property was working on leveling, ect. Her death certificate is on record at the Durant Court house, Durant Oklahoma, which is only 17 miles from the Yuba Cemetery. It can not be read except the name is discernible. Jim Beavers the father of Minnie is buried in Oklahoma in Indian Territory near Ardmore. Notes for JESSE KINMAN: FHL Number 1026025 Jesse never road in a car. Even if he had a chance to ride, he would turn itdown. When Claudus moved to CA, Jess would walk to visit him.
