    1. Wm. BEAVERS of Lawrence Co., AL
    2. Mickey Fournier
    3. My BEAVERS pain-in-the-neck is William. He was born 1800 in Tennessee, was in Lawrence County, AL by 1820, living alone. He was next door to Michael BEAVERS (son of the William BEAVERS who died in 1816 in Lincoln County, TN). William married first in 1821, Millie STEVENS, daughter of George who consented. They had two sons, James and Albert. Millie died young and the boys were apparently raised by relatives in Lincoln County, TN. In 1827, William married Agnes PATRICK (my ancestor), and for some unknown reason, they moved to Blount County, AL for a few years. They were back in Lawrence in 1840. Their children were: Berthana (mine), Rigdon, Willie J.(female), Mary M., Verlinda, William Charles, Michael (also mine) and John L. I know, beyond a doubt that he was related to the Lincoln County BEAVERS families, I just have no idea how. Any educated guesses appreciated. 2. Keck
    3. OK, I'll add my 2 cents worth, too! I haven't posted for a while and it sounds like we have some new listers. My gggrandfather was Wesley Beaver born either 1826 or 1829 in PA or possibly Wayne CO., MO. He died 8/25/1884 in Beatrice, NE. He married Susannah Fisher of Tazewell CO., IL in 1846. She is also buried in Beatrice, NE. They had 2 children: Mary Beaver who married Peter Wirges and Jesse Franklin Beaver (my ggrandfather) who married Florence Jackson in Tazewell CO or Marshall CO., IL. They also moved to Beatrice, NE where they died and are also buried. I believe that Wesley's parents might have been John and Sabra Beaver. I do not know Sabra's maiden name. I would love to hear from anyone who might have a connection!! Happy hunting and let's keep dialogue going! Pam (Beaver) Keck

    3. Hello lists- so far I have no known blood link to any of ya'll but I right now I am doing regional research. Specifically on Cherokee CO., NC and surrounding areas, including but not limited to : Union Co., GA, Rabun Co., GA, Swain Co, NC, Macon Co., NC. Right now I am in the process of cataloging cemeteries in Cherokee Co. Any info on any cemeteries in this area that any of ya'll are familiar with would be greatly appreciated. Also, for the cemeteries I have finished, I am trying to collect short biographies from relatives or people who knew them. Should you wish to contribute (for which I will be eternally grateful!) you will be recognized as the contributor and unless otherwise notified I would like to include your email address as the contributor so ppl can contact you. Alos, I accept no responsibility for the veracity of the information that is donated. My website is very new, ans so far I only have three cemeteries listed : Whitmore Cemetery in Murphy, NC; Mt.! Liberty Cemtery (Roers Chapel) in Murphy, NC; and Derreberry Cemetery in Peachtree, NC. I am currently working on about 15 other cemeteries trying to get thm up and ready to go; but it is slow going :-) so bear with me! The names so far that I have found prevalent in the area are: Stiles, Beaver/Beavers, Hughes, Chastain, Hall, Ledford, Loudermilk/Lowdermilk, McCLuree interim, most of this information is on Find a Grave at www.findagrave.com so go there and check it out in the meantime!! I think that is all I have for now, and please, any information, let me know. My email is [email protected] Thanks again, Nikki Neblett http://freepages.family.rootsweb.com/~patrickfamilytree/ PS... hi LINDA! HI REID! :-)

Posted on: BEAVERS Queries Reply Here: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/genbbs.cgi/surnames/b/e/BEAVERS/queries/10018 Surname: Beavers ------------------------- I'm trying to find relatives of Michael R. Beavers. He died on 1/28/1970 in Marin, California at the age of 19 just a month and a half before I was born. He was AWOL, and from what I understand, estranged from his family because of it. I know he was born 5/7/1950 in Ohio and had another red-headed daughter who was about 3-5 years old when I was born. Somehow he ended up in California and meeting my birth mother who was from Menlo Park, California. The pressure (being AWOL, estranged from his family, the mother of his other child looking for him, and me on the way) got to him and he ended his life. I know I have a sister out there and want to find her. His is the only name that I have... Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you...
