TOM, I am interested in your BEAVER information. I have my 3rd great grandmother, Mary Elizabeth Ann BEAVERS/BOUVIER born 4/18/1860 in Rowelsburg, WVa and died May 15, 1932 in Forest Hills, PA. Her father was Thomas H. BEAVERS/BOUVIER. Obviously with this last name, they were from a French origin and changed their name to BEAVER/BEAVERs. Any help would be appreciated. Ronnita, I found more information by doing a search for Lewis Beavers in the family trees on RootsWeb's World Connect Project. Lewis was George P. Beavers' father, and George was the father of my husband's grandfather, James Augustus Beavers. Grandpa had 9 or 10 siblings. I don't think his brother, Oliver Lewis Beavers, is the same Ollie as yours. If you look Lewis up in the World Connect Project, he's the one that was married to Martha Ware. They all had large families, so maybe one of our Ollies is a namesake to the other.
Hi....dbh....can you tell any birth dates for your AL Beavers? I'm still looking for a Francis Marion Beaver(s), called Frank that was born in 1835 in AL. Beavers & Clack Families have lived and pioneered together through VA. TN & TX for over 200 years. Two sources about these two related families: "Taylor & Bevers: Pioneer Families of Palo Pinto TX" by Ross Bobbie (I found this in the Weatherford TX library. It is probably in a Palo Pinto/Mineral Wells library as well; email me privately about this resource) "The True & Bevers (Beavers) Families" (with data on the allied famililies of Clack, Hill, Slayden, Glasscock, and Pistole) by Odessa Isbell See Giles Co TN Look-up Page <http://www.rootsweb.com/~tngiles/research/lookup.htm>http://www.rootsweb.c om/~tngiles/research/lookup.htm and email Odessa Isbell directly from there.

I am not familiar w/ James A Beavers, unless he was the son of a family member. Let me tell you what I have: My grandfather Ollie Beavers was born 6/17/1908 in the Blair area of Oklahoma and died 11/12/1980 in Duncan. His siblings were: Harvey Chester Beavers 9/10/1898-11/22/1973; Samuel Dewey Beavers 6/17/1902-9/30/1975; James Lee Beavers 12/1903-8/20-1958; Charlie Gordon Beavers 12/30/?-1973; and Mollie Belle Beavers 12/14/1909-still living. Your grandfather could conceivably be a child of theirs( per his birthdate), however, I know most of the cousins and have not heard the name. I will however be glad to check and see if the name rings any bells. Do you have any more info on your grandfather?
Janice, I finally found someone!!! I have been at a brick wall for several years now. James, Frank's brother, was my great-grandfather. I have plenty more information that I would love to share. Please e-mail me directly at [email protected] Briefly, James' oldest son, Bobby Gene, was my grandfather. Then came my dad, Randal Beavers, and his sister Rebecca. I have two generations prior to James and Frank (or Francis). Please e-mail me soon! Lynna Beavers Nix
