I have been trying to find any information I can on my Beavers. They come from Loudoun County, Virginia. My Great-Grandfather was William Thomas Beavers (b. 30 JAN 1880 in Loudoun County, VA; d. 27 JUL 1965 in Arlington, VA). He married Goldie Beaver (b. 15 JUL 1880 in Loudoun County, VA; d. 15 JUL 1934 in Washington, DC). They had 3 children Theresa (who married a Cratsley), my grandmother Olla Virginia, and Albert David Beavers, all born in Loudoun County, VA. William's parents were: John Thomas Beavers (b. 17 May 1849 possibly in Loudoun County, VA; d. 14 Dec 1890). He married Sarah Ellen McCullock (b. May 1845 in New York). I believe they had 11 children. Unfortunately, I've not been able to confirm the information I have on them as I can't find any information on them. John's parents were Sam Beavers and Genive Molar. They had 2 children that I know of, John Thomas and William (b. May 1845). This is all the information that I have. I got this information from my Great-Aunt Theresa. She said that the family owned a plantation in Loudoun County, Virginia, but when I contacted the county offices, they had no record of my Beavers line owning any property. I do know that my family did own property and farmed in the county, but that is all I know. If anyone has information on my Beavers, I'd appreciate any help I can get. Hi, all: Since I post here frequently, many of you are familiar with my name already. I just took over this list as Administrator. It's a dirty job but somebody's gotta do it! <g> Actually, it's a breeze. Only about once a month is it necessary to actually "do something". Will ya'll help me get started? Let's have a "roll call", and post our particular BEVER(S)/BEAVER(S)/BEEVER(S), BEIBERs or whatever spelling you use. All are welcome here! My BEAVER or BEAVERS, it is spelled both ways, is William who was born in 1820 in Tennessee. He married Millie STEPHENS (daughter of George) in Lawrence County, AL in 1821. By Millie he had two sons, James and Alfred. By 1827, Millie had apparently died and William married Agnes PATRICK (daughter of John). William and Agnes moved to Blount County, AL for a few years but were back in Lawrence County before 1840. They had Rigdon, Berthana, Willie J.(female), Mary, Verlinda, William Charles, Michael and John L. I am positive that William was from the Lincoln County BEAVERS but, so far, I have not been able to prove that connection. Hi all....I was asked to check and see what I could find for Wheeler Dennis BEAVER. That is the name on his birth certificate. He was adopted and know nothing of his family. He has found a cousin in Oregon that is suposed to be a relative named Buster BEAVER. They have neither been able to locate any family. Wheeler Dennis BEAVER has lived in Gale TX and is now in Ruidoso NM If anyone has these names in their family search please let me know. I know there is not much info. to go on. However, both names are unusual. Wheeler would be in his 40's or 50's I believe. Thanks Darlene BEAVER Dougherty OK [email protected] --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.
