Beavers and Martha J. Roberts. They had several children and one of them was named Benjamin. My grandmother was his sister Josephine (Josie) who later married a Lovingood and then a Murphy. They were all born in Fannin Co., GA I believe. They lived in Shoal Creek, Cherokee Co.. NC, Suite, Culberson, NC also. Maybe you can check out some of these to see if this is your Ben Beavers. My great grandparents were Samuel S. Beavers and Martha J. Roberts Beavers (Beaver). They were born in either Union or Fannin Co. Their daughter Josephine (Josie) was my grandmother. They moved to NC and lived in Shoal Creek, Cherokee Co., NC and Suite, NC. Sam and Martha had several children, Mattie, William McKinley (Dick), Josephine, Ben, James. I know Uncle Dick's (Wm McKinley) wife was named Callie. I can't remember what her maiden name was. My father was Virgle Lovingood, son of Josephine (Josie) who was supposed to have married a "Will" Lovingood at one time. She eventually married Howard Murphy and lived in Culberson, Cherokee Co., NC until she died. Samuel's father was Ausborn Jefferson Beavers. You will see his name spelled several different ways. I have been trying to research the Beavers side of my family. My grandmother, Josie (Josephine) Beavers Lovingood was Samuel and Martha's daughter. She had a sister Mattie Beavers, brothers that I can remember were Ben and William McKinley "Dick" Beavers. Martha was a Roberts and according to the death certificate of my ggrandfather, Samuel, her father was Peter Roberts. I was always told that Martha was a full-blooded Cherokee Indian. However, I cannot find any information to back this up. I remember seeing one picture of Sam and Martha when I was a little girl but I'm not sure what happened to it. If anyone has any information on Sam and Martha that you can share with me I would greatly appreciate it. Also if anyone has a picture of them I would appreciate seeing it if possible and maybe get a copy.
