    3. I just ordered my 1880 census CDs. They should be here in a week or two. If you would like to go ahead and send me your look-up requests, I'll do them as soon as the CDs arrive. Just don't ask for "all the John SMITHS" in the US :-) I'll be answering the emails in the order in which they arrive. 1. Re: William Beavers' daughter Nancy Beavers who married a McCarty
    2. Thanks for the quick response, Elizabeth. Looks like we are probably not related. Good luck to you. I had checked the 1810 census for Hardin KY and found William Beavers with a daughter possibly Nancy's age, and I wonder if that was your ancestor. Cyn

    2. Hi Rebecca and Elizabeth, I'm checking to see if you know if my Nancy Beaver(s) born about 1798 is from your family line. My Nancy married a McCarty and settled in Owen County, Indiana. My sources always end with her, but one source had her born in Hardin Indiana...there is no Hardin in Indiana, so I'm exploring Hardin KY and Hardin ILL. Please let me know if your information rules out that my Nancy was child to William Beavers in Hardin, KY. Thanks. Cyn

    1. Re: Beavers from VA, and IL
    2. Hi Ida, I have an ancestor, Nancy Beavers, born around 1798 in "Hardin, Indiana". There is no Hardin in Indiana, but there is a Hardin County in Illinois and in KY. I'm wondering if she might be related to your Beavers in Hardin Illinois? Nancy married a McCarty and settled in Owen County, Indiana. I believe that she may have been Native American, because of things my grandmother told me about Nancy's grandson, but none of my sources have any information about Nancy Beavers' past. Do you think she might be connected, esp. since your Beavers family had a Nancy too. Let me know. Thanks, Cyn

    3. My husband was the great grandson of John Willis Beavers and Mary Jane Reid Beavers. We descend from Ruben Wakefield Beavers who is a son of John Willis and Mary Jane. We still live here in Conway County AR and have been researching this family for 20 plus years. I have quite a lot of info on the family. My husband passed away ten months ago but I am continuing the research. I would love to exchange info with both of you. Have we emailed before? I have pictures of John Willis and Mary Jane and have visited their graves quite often. John Willis Jr's mother is also buried in the same cemetery. His father is buried on the old family homestead near there. I would love to hear from you both and anyone else researching this line. I am trying to find something on Larkin Lee and his wife Anna Belle Smith but can't seem to locate anything there either. From which of the several children that John Willis Jr and Mary Jane Reid do you descend from. 1. ANDREW Y "DOC" BEAVER[S]
    2. Looking for any information on the parentage of an Andrew Y. BEAVER[S]. He was born 12 June 1859 and died 1 June 1949. He is buried at Notla Baptist Church in Cherokee County NC. My Dad could only tell me that he was a cousin and that he grew up calling him "Uncle Doc". Andrew was married to Mary WHITMORE, b. 13 Aug 1869 and d. 29 Sep 1936. She is also buried in the Notla Baptist Church Cemetery. I've been told that some of the children of this marriage were: Myrtle Eva Manuel Carl A Laura Jane Edith and possibly a Stuart. Would really like to know where he fits into my BEAVER[S] line since Daddy said he was related.

    1. New to the list
    2. I'm new to this list. I've been trying to find my Beavers ancestors for several years, and have had no luck. My great grandfather was William Thomas Beavers, born in Loudoun County, Virginia, on 30 JAN 1880 and died on 27 JUL 1965 in Arlington, VA. He married Goldie Beaver (b.about 1880-1883 in Loudoun County, VA, died 1933). They had 3 children, Theresa (Cratsley) and Olla Virginia who married Walter Allen Harrison (my grandparents). What information I do have I cannot verify. William's father was John Thomas Beavers (b. 17 May 1849, d. 14 Dec 1890). He married Sarah Ellen McCulloch (b. c. 1852) on 1 Jun 1877. John's father was Sam Beavers, he married Genive Molar. This is all I have. My understanding from my mother (Olla & Walter Harrison's daughter) is that the family farmed in Loudoun County, Virginia for many years. She told me that that particular section of the county was counted on different census records at various time. Sometimes being counted as part of Prince William County, sometimes as part of Fauquier County, and even part of Culpeper County! I would hazard a guess it could be counted as part of Fairfax County, too. But to date, I cannot find them anywhere. Any help would be appreciated.
