    3. I lost the url to see about ordering the 1880 census cd's. Can you give it? Also, I understand that it is based on the soundex. That means households withOUT children under 10 yrs old will NOT be listed. Can anyone verify this? Thanks, CindyHMB At 10:11 AM 7/4/2001 , Faded Genes wrote: >I just ordered my 1880 census CDs. 1. Looking for parents of Ruth Beavers, m. Emanuel Campbell NC>GA
    2. Looking for parents of Emanuel Bouse Campbell, b. 1815 or 1820 possibly in Orange County NC and Ruth Beavers, his wife. Any help greatly appreciated. They were my great grandparents. Ruth Beavers (Beever, Beaver) was possibly the dtr of William or Jehu Beaver (Beavers, Bevour, Beever). Hugh Edwards and Lucy Edwards also may be relatives of Ruth's. Emanuel seemed to have preferred the name "Bouse" in some records. They married in Orange County in 1838. Emanuel and Ruth moved from NC to Chattooga County Georgia about 1850-1851. They had children William A. (possibly Alexander) Frances, Nancy Greene, Tabitha Ann, Susan Elizabeth, and either Lucy J. or Mary. (name in census illegible). Their daughter Tabitha Ann married Green Berry Myers of Chattooga County GA in 1867. They had one son, William Conrad, who died as an infant. Tabitha died in 1868 and Green Berry married her sister Nancy Green Campbell in 1870. Green Berry and Nancy had 8 children: Graves Trenholm, David, Alexander, Kate Tabitha, Alice Elizabeth, Fred O, Clements Hill, and Nannie Green. Emanuel died in 1883 in Walker County Georgia. Thanks for any help you can give me on this elusive couple!!

    1. Re: Beavers from VA, and IL
    2. Hi Cyn! Please accept my apology for taking so long to get back to you...summer has kept us busy! This may show up as being from Martha...she's my sister. I am Ida, you wrote to me regarding Nancy Beavers. You said your Nancy was possibly from Indiana and was Native American. I have not run across any Beavers in Indiana that are our kin...of course considering the proximity to Illinois, and particularly Hardin Co., there is always the possibility. If she was Native American I would doubt kinship, as all the Beavers in our family are quite obvious Scots-Irish...white skin with freckles and the occasional red head. (How I wish some of my direct line of ancestors had added a little of that nice brown skin to our gene pool!) If you find more info regarding your Nancy that might tie her into to Virginia/Illinois Beavers, please let me know. Thanks! Ida tanakahi@earthlink.net

    2. sirjasper@aol.com writes: > > Sorry all my Beavers that I have so far are in Virginia. T I am looking for information on Beavers in Virginia. My family is from Loudoun County, Virginia. They lived there and farmed there for several generations. My Great-Grandfather was a Beavers, and he married a Beaver, or so the family says. His daughter, Theresa Beavers Cratsley, told me that the Beavers family once owned a plantation in Loudoun County. So far, I can find no records of this. And, I cannot find my Beavers family on the Loudoun County census records prior to 1900.
