I am searching for the origin of my BEATY family roots which are from Ireland. I have traced the BEATY name back to 1781 when Francis BEATY joined the Royal Navy. He had a brother Henry. Family folklore says that they came from Tullamore, Ireland. Someone, in the mail group undoubtedly has common ancestors with me. My messages to the group have not been fruitful so far. Do you have any words of wisdom that might help me get back before 1781? I am aware of the BEATYS who came to the U.S. but they do not help. It is the Irish heritage for which I am searching.
