Looking for information about parents and any other siblings of Thomas Jefferson (TJ) Beaty/Beatty and Andrew Decatur Beaty/Beatty. I am told that their parents were Thomas Beaty and Nancy Brantley, but I have no documentation for this. TJ was born in Lowndes County (approximately 1819) according to his Confederate Service Application. Andrew was born approx. 1815, but do not know if it was in Lowndes Co. or not. They also lived in Pulaski County GA as young children where they were supposedly "orphans" in 1824. However, apparently only their father died, as we found a note from one of Thomas' children stating that Thomas & Andrew's mother remarried a man by the surname of Jones and that they then had a child together named Sam. We have located an index of "Orphan" guardianship in Pulaski Co. GA showing that Darling Jones became TJ & Andrew's guardian. However, we do not know that this Darling Jones is the "Jones" that the mother married. In approx 1860 Andrew & TJ were in Florida in Hamilton County and then to Madison County. Andrew (who married Margaret Bembry in Pulaski Co. GA) stayed in Madison Co., FL. TJ, (who married Charity Frier - but don't know exactly where marriage took place) also went to Hillsborough County Florida (Shiloh area and then Plant City). Some of Andrew's children also moved to Shiloh area and then Plant City. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Connie Beaty, Gainesville, FL E-mail: chb122154@aol.com
