    1. [Beasley] Re: Beasley Cottage in England
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: BEESLEY, BEASLEY Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/plC.2ACEB/957.1.1.1.1.1.1 Message Board Post: Val, You said: << My ancestors were from Harbury, Warwickshire but some lived in Bishops Itchington. John, born Harbury, lived at Rose Cottage in 1851 and Mary m. John Randall of Bishops Itchington in 1803 and Sarah married William Bass of Bishops Itchington in 1783. >> ************* I do have the Beesleys from the 1851 Census for Bishops Itchington and your 74 year old John is living there with his daughter: John BEASLEY Head W 74 M Grocer Harbury-WAR Helen MITCHILL Daur U 36 F House Serv Bishops Itch-WAR Address: Rose Cottage, Bps Itchington ************* The parish register for Bishops Itchington has no Sarah Beesleys listed as christened there in the 1700s And the microfilm of the parish register from Bishops Itchington doesn't cover marriages or banns from 1803 (that I could find) but I lucked out as my Thomas Beesely married Sarah Wrighton in Chadshunt in 1796. I did find an Ellen Beasley born to a John & Elizabeth Beasley, 6 June 1813, in Bishops Itchington, which is approximately when your Helen should have been born but this John is listed as a shoemaker, not a grocer as the John in the 1851 census was. (I think that this John was born in 1767 in Bishops Itchington and he & Elizabeth were married in 1790 after which they had 7 children so he probably isn't yours since yours was born in Harbury and should have been born around 1777.) The only Mary Beesley I found in the parish register was born in 1755, way to early to be your Mary who married in 1803. Do you have any more information about your Beesley/Beasleys in and around Bishops Itchington so I can maybe tie them into all the other Beesleys from Bishops Itchington that I've charted beginning with Thomas & Alice who had twin sons, Bennet & Job in 1698.
