UNTIL we find further proof (which may be in England) I choose to doubt it. It never came down through the lines in my family, and my GM was a Beasley and grew up in Hickman Co. Tennessee in the midst of a crowd of Beasleys. There may be a thread of truth in the story...we just need to find which thread!
