    3. Good morning All. I'd like to encourage my Beasley male cousins to submit a DNA analysis to www.familytreedna.com and see if we can make some distant connections. 1. [BEASLEY] DNA Testing

    3. David even though I can't provide a male Beasley for the Surname study or even a Beasley Y chromosome donor I still had also a David Beasley son of Isaac as my gggrandfather (David, 29 Dec 1817, Greenfield, Highland Co., Ohio d. 24 Apr 1897, Blue Springs, Otoe Co., Nebraska ) but I come down female lines from my David. Still I would like to see if all Beasley men in the US are closely related or will we see some regional differences. In another twist I have a female cousin that is being tested for her mtDNA. She comes directly down female lines and yes there is a Beasley daughter connection. As some of you may know mtDNA is passed on through females from mother to daughters and the cycle repeats its' self. Males you do get your X from your mom but your female partner will provide her X to both her daughters and sons. Her X then continues down female lines. Remember mutations do occur from time to time most are harmless but help to distinguish groups. I had my own mtDNA done several years ago and have met some wonderful people that share my Group. Hopefully you will think about testing and how it will help in your searches. I have also used the group David has mentioned for my testing.
