In fact they didn't know it was Mary Ann. They have these children listed with this, and only this, information: Dolphus, m. Eunice Butler; Clarkie, b. 1853; William, m. Cora Bell Vaughn, Nancy, b. 1855; James Clinton, b. 1857, m. Minnie Beasley; Frankie, b. 1859. That is all there is I believe. The organizing principal of this book is obscure. There is no index or numbering system. As far as I can tell, they do not follow this line, although it is remotely possible that although I paged through twice looking for more I missed it. The principal author was a cousin of my wife, and a lovely, generous person who put this book together out of love for the family, but in apparently complete innocence of contemporary standards of organization and documentation. It follows most closely the line that includes the author and my wife (Braddock's son Isham) and is treasured by those in that group, especially as it contains some family tales and photographs.
