    2. Does anyone have any more information on Rachel Beasley???? I have a great great aunt, Rachael Beasley (listed on the 1850 Hamilton Co., IL., census), born 1840 in Tennessee (probably White County).?? Unfortunately, I have no other info.?? That connection of Tennessee to Illinois to Missouri follows my line.? I have done quite a bit of research at the court house in Smithfield North Carolina and using the Ancestry program, which has been a great help. Please feel free to look at the family listings and see if any of the names ring a "BEASLEY BELL" with you. There is still more that I would like to find out. You can contact me via my e-mail address. Thanks Andy Beasley Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Can you give me more context for the Captain John Beezley with sister Polly Ann you are referring to? Like, where he lived, or where he served in the Civil War... other relatives, etc.? As my name is Doug Beezley, I try and keep track of the Beezley's of that spelling. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. James was born in VA and raised in TN. Elizabeth was born in and raised in TN. They married in TN and had the following children: #1. Thomas N Beezley b. bef 1821 TN d. aft 1934 KS, married several times #2. Anderson Jackson Beezley b. 1821 TN d. 1896 TX, married 3 times #3. Polly Ann Beezley b. 1826-1830 TN d. bef 1850, married William Noblett #4. John M Beezley (later Beasley) b.1828 TN d. 1900-1910 TX, married 2 times #5. James C Beezley b. 1830 TN d. aft 1900 Arkansas, married 3 times #6. William Taft Beezley b. 1835 MO The family moved from TN, to IL, and then to MO. From there they split off to different areas during the Civil War or just afterwards. James & Elizabeth eventually moved in Hunt Co., TX, near 2 of their sons, and died there. There are 2 other Beasley/Beezley lines that married into this family. Rachel Beasley married 1st to Richard Simmons and then to John M Beezley. Polly Ann's daughter Sarah married Henry H (Homer?) Beezley. I descend from Sarah & Henry, so I have another Beezley line to trace still. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. 3. Hope I'm not butting in, but for years I've sought info on my ancestors, Wm. Francis & Lucinda Beasley Jackson, she I think from the Caroline Co, VA Beasleys. She supposedly had a brother, Reuben, who was an American diplomat in the early l800s. She and her husband moved to Pike Co, IL where they are buried. I' ve about given up on them!
