Sereptha is my gg-grandmother. There is a marriage bond in Wake county NC, 1802 for John Beasley and Ailey Snipes. John Beasley's will names only daughters, Ann, Mary, Lucinda, Keziah, and Alla. He notes that Drucilla Crook is his granddaughter and she also inherits. Sereptha is not mentioned but married in 1853 in Union Co. NC . I have tried for years to find Sereptha's parents. I feel that she must be a daughter-in-law or niece. She is buried at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Union Co. with a birth date of 1834.If she was 18 in 1850 that may not be accurate.
