My grandmother is Fearbia Octavia Kathleen Moore. Her parents are Claude Moore and Martha Beasley of Sylva, N.C. I always thought Octavia was a strange name to give a child in that area at that time, but then again, so is Fearbia! Now I wonder if there could be a link in the families. Maybe Octavia is a family name handed down? My grandmother was born in 1920 in Sylva, and she was the 5th or 6th child of 10 children, so Claude and Martha would have been married at least in 1912 or possibly earlier, in Sylva. Ring any bells?
