His father William Preston Beasley is from Alva, MS and he had a sister Lena. WP had three wives, two were first cousins of the Holdiness family. WP's father was a man named Hezikiah Beasley. WP and Hezikiah are buried in the Noxubee County MS cemetery. I once thought they were related to H.O. Beasley, of Noxubee County, a slave owner, whose family came to MS from North Carolina.
