    3. I don't have a Silas in 1795, however I do have a Silas N or M born in 1878 (father Isaac H.) and Isaac had a brother Silas born 1830 in Simpson, KY. Can I have more information on your Silas? 3. Hi Janice, There is a Silas Beasley listed on the 1830 Buncombe Co. NC census. I found a land deed which he witnessed in 1823, so we know he was in the area at this time. I am assuming this Silas was Silas Mercer Beasley Sr. The ages of his children seem to fit and one researcher has indicated that at least one of his children was born in western NC. I am wondering if your Isaac and Silas brothers could be nephews to Silas Mercer Beasley Sr.? I do know from marriage records that at least one of Silas Mercer's children was married in Sumner Co. TN which bordered Simpson Co. KY at that time. Hopefully Kathryn Evans will see your post and let us know if your Isaac and Silas were perhaps sons of her John Beasley born in 1782 who lived in Simpson Co KY for a time.
