I'm trying to untangle some Beasley lines... Richard Beasley (b.1757 in NC) m. Margaret Day. Does anyone know who his parents were? Some on Rootsweb have him as son of John Pitts Beasley who died 1792 Warren Co NC. However, JPB's documented as being in Amelia Co VA until 1766, and then Warren Co. So it doesn't seem like this is right, if Richard was born in NC 1757. Others have him as son of a John Beasley m. Sarah Lilse. This John died in Chowan Co NC and doesn't mention a son Richard in will, at least in the abstract that I have. (And others have the same John Pitts Beasley as marrying Sarah Lilse, which also doesn't seem correct, as she died in Chowan Co, not Warren Co.) Others have him as son of James Beasley and Ann Pate or Taylor. But I have them as born in the 1750's, married 1773 - so it doesn't make sense if Richard was born 1757. Can anyone straighten this out?
