His father was William Beasley. His mothers maiden name was Mary Jackson. She married a man named Gresham after the civil war. No William Beasleys from GA were killed in the civil war. I tried to find William in Mississippi records but so far no luck. William stil owned land in MS from before the war. I believe he returned to MS and started a new family.
