He had several children including Betty Jane, Andrew, Clyde, Charity, Benjamin, Arizona and Evelyn. I believe he had a brother named Rufus. I have seen Rufus Beasley in Tennessee about the time of his birth but several accounts of that family do not include a Joseph at all.
