Joyce, thank you. Unfortunately no, I haven't been able to find anything further on the Beasley's. I had computer problems and had been offline for awhile until I could get a new computer, but I am back up and digging again. It is funny and frustrating that both of immediate lines are brick walls, yet, I have had great success with a some of the off branches. My Kennedy and Beasley lines just don't seem to exist out there !! It is hard for me trying to do Georgia/Carolina research from way out here in Louisiana. I try interlibrary loan when I can get any books, and I search online vigourously every day when I can, but after almost 7 years now I still haven't gotten past ggrandparents on my Kennedy and Beasley lines. I am really trying to focus on those two lines more than any other right now but then you know how that goes LOL I sure won't pass up expanding another line if I find information while searching. I am emailing Tammy in hopes that her parents might remember even small rumors about my ggrandfather Kennedy who was a "black sheep" and always in trouble with the law. He disappeared in 1921 after "escaping" from prison/jail and wasn't seen ever again, so I don't even have a death date for him. I have found his parents names but that is it. I sure hope that one day somewhere, somehow, we can extend the Beasley line. I will keep digging and pass along anything that I find that might be at least a positive lead on the line. Again thank you for sending Tammy's email. Rosemary
Rosemary - It has been a long time! Hope all is well your way. Found anything interesting on the Beasley line? I certainly haven't, but then I have not been able to devote much time to genealogy in the last year or so. The last email address I have for Tammy is : [email protected] As far as I know, that is still good. Take care. Joyce R. Hello, Beasley List, Does anyone have Barbara Bonham's e-mail address? Barbara, please let me hear from you privately. Thanks, Ruth
I'm still looking for any relatives for Alpha Omega Beasley, b. 1805, m. David Stacy in 1823 in Limestone/Morgan Co, AL.
Hi Anne: It's good hearing from you. No, I have not been in touch with Joann or Dottie Avery but I would be interested in hearing from any Beasley kin. I do have a couple of questions. Do you have Zachariah's date of death and place of death? Also do you know where Zachariah or Nancy are buried? I am related to Zachariah only because of his marriage to Nancy Beasley. My grandmother was Hallie Ree Beasley, born in 1990 and raised in Kentucky. She was married to Ross S. Mitchell. Anyone you can put me in contact with that has connections to my line of Beasley's would be appreciated. Tim, Have you heard from Joann? Do you know Dottie Avery? I am from Zachariah HAM Jr. and his second wife Pharabe HUBBARD. Dottie is from Zachariah and Nancy BEASLEY. I have that Nancy was born, ca 1810-13 in Orange Co., NC with a question mark. She died 1841 in Harris Co, GA. Dottie has given me Zachariah's line back to his grandfather, William HAM, who is recognized by the DAR as providing service. This is proven and documented information. Children of Zachariah and Nancy were: 1. John Samuel Ham, b. ca 1830, Cumberland Co., NC died ca 1895, Texas, m, ca 1855, in Randolph Co., GA, Martha A. Ward. 2. William Giles Ham, b. Abt. 1832 3. I am leaving to go out of town for a family reunion. I might have a chance to check email tomorrow morning and again Tuesday, but that will be it for awhile. Has anyone heard of the Beasley Club. Apparently it was a womans' social club in Oklahoma in the 1930s. I had correspondence from some who mentioned that her grandmother was president of the Beasley Club in Grady County OK and delegate to the state convention in Stillwater OK. Gene Phillips
