Included in them were some pictures of her brother, Jimmy Beasley, who has also passed away. Included in his articles were some pictures ordered from Pictorial Studios, Tocoma Washington. The envelope is dated Dec 20, 1946. We would like to know if there is any way to learn more about this ship or who to contact to learn more of his group. The only identification of the ship in the photo is "p166". There are thousands of guys all over the ship. The pictures are stamped, 285 1, 285 2, etc. If it would help, I can scan and send a picture to anyone interested or who can help me. There is another picture of Jim and some guys in a resturant, but no identification of the other two guys in the photo. On the front of the folder is MEMORIES of THE CLUB. There is also a picture of Jimmy and a lady in a club, he is in uniforrm. On the back of the folder, there is:Souvenir....San Francisco....Victor ACHZIGER, Night Club Photos, 141 Eddy Street, San Francisco 2, California, Telegraph Press, 71 Turk Stree, San Francisco. TRY THIS:http://www.shahall.com Then look for "THE WALTON WAR", it mentions the names of three Beasley's Joseph,Samuel, and John. The story explains the state borders and how it had the settlers living in so many Counties and how it made it hard to figure out where you were living at any given point, this may be who you are looking for, it mentions Transylvania County/part of a border of two states. I am related to the Beasley's. JOy, I find your inquery of JOseph Beasley timely and interesting. I have recently learned of the Walton War which was a dispute of a tract of land between Georgia, N.C. and S.C. Joseph Beezley, Samuel Beasley, and John Beasley signed a petition to Congress to re-cede the land to S.C. This is now part of jackson and Transylvania Counties in western N.C. The petition was singed Jan 8, 1800. Refer to www.shahall.com/walton.html It sounds as though the Joseph Beasleys may be the same. If the JOhn Beasley is my gggreat grandfather as I suspect, Samuel and Joseph may be his brothers. John's father was William b ab 1740. It is believed JOhn was born ab 1760. JOhn moved into Franklin cty., Ga about 1806 which is near this area. William purchased property in Pendleton Cty., S.C. in 1790 which is in northwest S.C.. I'd like to share more information. This memorial is second only to the “Wall” in Washington D.C. in size, scope and ambition. Luzon’s picture is one of those missing and this Memorial will never be complete until all the pictures of these brave souls are engraved on the memorial.
