Jim Beasley, I read you were a descendant of Robert Beasley. Might you have in your files a Lucy Beasley born about 1794-1796 who married a William Coomer? Thank You, Pat Uffenorde ( She was either born in Stokes co., N. C. or Va. ) [email protected] wrote: > > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Classification: Immigration > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/plC.2ACEB/924.927 > > Message Board Post: > > What are you looking for, in the way of info. Is anyone else researching this Beasley line? I show Isaac B. in Currituck Co., NC on the tax lists for 1751-1755, then to Rowan Co. on tax list of 1768, then to Randolph Co., (probably same place but county lines moved) until his death in 1795/6. Married Ann, last name unknown. Only child mentioned in Will is Rachel Lamar (wife of Osborn Lamar), my ancestors. Can't tie Isaac to any of the other Beasley families in this area at that time. Have lots on Lamars, little on Beasleys, always willing to share. Thanks for any help at all. Dusti ([email protected]) --
Hi I am new to the list and have connections with the surname Beasley in the Attercliffe area of Sheffield. One name I have is James Beasley who was, I believe, a coal miner, who I have found on the 1881 census. Can anyone help me out here?

Thomas and Martha Beasley/Beezley were living in Preble County, OH when their son Joseph was born on June 25, 1809. Joseph moved to Indiana, where he married, first, Elizabeth Lewis, and second her sister (or cousin?) Cynthia Lewis. I think he was, for a short time in 1831, a corporal in service during the Black Hawk War. He and his family moved to Iowa, and eventually settled in Madison County, and he became a prominent member of the Quaker Meeting (when he joined the Quakers I don't know). All I know about his parents is their names, although my father remembered hearing talk of their migrating to Ohio through the Cumberland Gap. Does anyone have information about this family, especially their origins? Bill Compton [email protected]

You just go to ROOSTWEB.COM and look for the World connect projects/it will prompt you on where to go. I have been in the Alabama projects pages. Can get allot of information there.
