Maybe the person with the Bible should just post the names from the Bible and that way they would be out there for all to see, just a suggestion. May I make a suggestion? Would it be possible to make copies or type the information in the Bible and send it to Kristy Williams? She is the Manager of this Beasley Message board, List Administrator of the BEASLEY surname list and the webmistress of the BEASLEY/BEESLEY Surname site. Hi Susan, What a thoughtful thing to do!! I've collected old photos and postcards over the years, but rarely are there enough clues to trace them back to their origins. I know some Beasley family will be thrilled to connect with you son's Bible. My Beasley family has roots in Virginia and NC, so I'm sending you some names from my line in the slim chance that these names are there. Because names tend to repeat over generations, the William name stuck out. (Plus, my sister's name is Gloria.) I have a William Beasley (1767-1850/60) married to Rachel Robinette, Warren Co, GA. His father was James Beasley (1743 ...), who was married to Polly Ann Pate. James was son of John Beasley and Sarah Lilse (spelling). Then, James Beasley (1704-1742) m. to Mary W. Woollard (1704-1788), James Beasley (1675/76-1720) and Mary Cropley (1670), and Robert Beasley and Sarah Loadman (1640). This family has ties to Beesley/Beasley Island along NC coast near the Outer Banks. Long shot, but you never know. Again, thanks for putting this info on the Web so folks can find it. I hope this email finds you well. Elvira Beasley, b. 1883 m. "Pisca" Buford (does anyone know his real name?) Just a thought to throw out but Buford may be Bluford. "Molly" Mary Martha Saline Beasley who married Wm Edward Thomas St. John in Bradley County Arkansas named their first born Gilliam Bluford St. John, the Bluford name has been passed down in each generation ending right now with my son. It's just a thought, but I have found that Bluford is a surname. Carolann St. John [email protected]

Thanks Linda. I guess you are in the same boat as me. I actually cannot find a thing on AO except that she married David Stacy and the year she was born. I have all their children but not a clue as to where she came from. Thanks again. Sharia
Hi, I am afraid the only Beasley I have right now is Elizabeth and I haven't had any luck in finding out anything on her. If I find an Alph Omega Beasley I will sure let you know. Thank you for writing. Linda

Do yo happen to have an Alpha Omega Beasley, b1805, m. David Stacy? I can't find a thing on her even with a name like that!
Sharia, Why don't you list everything you know about Alpha. Sometimes the childrens' names clue us in on the name of the parents, grandparents, aunts, or uncles. Also when and where was she born and how do you know? What other documents or info have you found for her?? Refresh our memories!! Thanks, Melissa --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!? John C. Beasley had a brother also named Rance/Ransom and then John C. named his son Ransom as well....so the name is quite common even in just this family. John C. also had a g/grandson named Ransom Beasley. The information we have which gave the dates of Nancy, John C.'s wife dying in 1864, has not been documented as yet and is only family information at this point. Since this letter was written by our aunt Mamie, we do know some of the information was incorrect as she wrote of my husband's mother dying as an infant and we **know** without a doubt that is not true:) However, her letter is a point to begin our research and document as we go. Malone's young daughter, Nancy, is actually the daughter of his first wife and marriage, Caroline Cox...but Caroline Cox died and Malone then married Charles Elizabeth, "Betty". This is why we have been searching for documented proof for our Beasley family for many years and still searching for the parents of our John C. Several have tried to attach our John C. to several branches of the Beasley family, but the dates and names don't match. We have been told our John C. was also "possibly" kin to a Ephraim Beasley, but the names and dates don't match. Thanks for your help and this information. I'll print it to add to my notes. I'm sure the Beasley's in Nevada and Columbia counties are related, just don't have all the connections yet. It's a shame so much of the 1890 census was lost.
